Guide to the Agriturismi of the Province of Lucca

Owned by Maria Gemma Cassettari, the agriturismo is to be found at Roggio, part of the town of Vagli di Sotto, at 800 m above sea level. Maria Gemma welcomes guests in two double bedrooms and four single bedrooms all with bathroom, immersed in the greenery of the chestnut woods. On reservation you can try the traditional local cuisine, rich in mushrooms, farro (spelt) and cheeses, or take part in cooking courses. Andrea Coletti, son of the owner, is available to take any interested guests on beautiful trips to the nearby Grotta del Vento cave system, hunting mushrooms at Fornovolasco, or among the marble quarries of Vagli di Sopra. Potatoes, maize, farro (spelt), chestnuts and fruits of the forest are produced on the farm. Open all year round.
